Mark your calendars! Our next Toastmasters meeting is scheduled for 23 September 2025 at a beautiful restaurant in Dee Why - Contact us for full details. This month's theme is Deafness and Hard of Hearing Awareness. Prepare to engage in lively discussions, practice your public speaking skills, and connect with fellow members in a welcoming environment.

Here’s a glimpse of what to expect:

  • Prepared Speeches: Several members will showcase their speeches. This is a fantastic way to learn by example.

  • Impromptu Speaking Sessions: Sharpen your quick-thinking skills with on-the-spot speaking challenges.

  • Constructive Evaluations: Get valuable feedback on your performance to help you improve.

If you’d like to attend, please reach out via our Contact Us page to secure your spot. Every speech is a chance to learn and progress.

Last Month's Highlights

Our previous meeting was a great success, with eight guests contributing to the vibrant atmosphere. The theme, World Lake Day, was especially fitting as we gathered at Zests Garden by Narrabeen Lakes, where we enjoyed both the setting and a delicious meal.

Denise, our Table Topics Master for the evening, challenged us with thought-provoking impromptu questions under the theme “Where were you when?” The responses sparked some great spontaneous answers, and opportunities for our experienced toasties to practice 'pivoting' - a communicative tactic our guests walked away with a free lesson in.

The standout of the evening was Andrea, our newest member. She was officially welcomed into the club and delivered an engaging Ice Breaker (first) speech. Andrea not only set the bar high but also earned the award for Best Speech of the Night, impressing the audience and receiving valuable feedback for her next presentation.

What to Expect Next

As we look ahead, we encourage everyone to bring a friend and come along. Toastmasters thrives on community and support, and sharing the experience helps us all grow. If you know someone who could also benefit from building confidence and communication skills, invite them along to the next meeting.

Final Thoughts

Toastmasters meetings are about more than public speaking. They are about building confidence, forming friendships, and creating a supportive environment for personal growth. We look forward to seeing you on 23rd September as we continue this journey together.

Stay tuned for more updates, and don’t forget to share your experiences with us.
